Where is it and what time does it start? Between Mansion House and the Royal Courts of Justice in Aldwych. It travels out via St Paul’s between 11 am and 12:30 pm, and returns by the embankment between 1 pm and 2:30 pm.

What is the history of The Lord Mayor Show? For over 800 years each newly elected Lord Mayor of London has made his or her way upriver to Westminster to swear loyalty to the Crown.

Did you know? One of the most famous Lord Mayors was Dick Whittington (1354-1423), Whittington was Lord Mayor four times between 1397 and 1419. The Lord Mayor’s show is the first outside event ever to be shown live on television (BBC).
